Playing music in Vermont
Steve Organek has been playing music professionally since 1987, having played over 25 states throughout New England, the Mid-West and as far south as Brownsville, Texas.  While pursuing a degree in music education from the Crane School of Music Steve gigged four nights a week, performing as a soloist and in various rock and country bands.

In addition to being a professional musician Steve is  a veteran music educator, serving over 20 years an orchestra director and composer.  His students have performed in Boston, New York City and Disney's Epcot Center.
Steve is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, piano, upright bass and all the stringed instruments.  He is the former principal bassist for the New Hampshire Philharmonic and former president of the New Hampshire chapter of American String Teacher's Association.  Steve is currently based in Hampstead, New Hampshire,  performing mainly private events.

The Swunk Brothers: Founded by singer/songwriter Ken Weiland, this versatile duo was one of my favorite groups.  Ken is, in my opinion, one of the best songwriters in New England, and I was honored when he asked me to play bass, lead guitar and piano on two of his albums.  Here are a couple samples from the "Green Martini," named after a small club in Concord, NH that was home to many musicians and supported live music.

Doug Mitchell (Kingston Records) is one of the most requested performers in Southern New Hampshire. I had the privilege of performing hundreds of gigs with Doug since 2006, and look forward to our annual gigs (usually in July) back in New England. Here's a track on which I played keys and piano.

In 2011 I was introduced to a gypsy guitarist named Ryan Flaherty from Portland Maine. Here is one of several songs we recorded together at NHtunes Studio in Manchester, NH.
